Tesco slammed for selling padded bra for 7-year-olds
SUPERMARKET chain Tesco has been criticised for selling a padded bra for young girls.
The 4 bra is being sold alongside vests in the seven to eight-year-old age range in the clothing section for children aged up to 14.
Fashion lecturer David Morris, from De Montfort University, said: "I wouldn't classify it as a teen bra and I don't think even Tesco could justify it from that point of view."
Children's groups today criticised Tesco's decision to sell the bra to young girls.
But a Tesco spokeswoman hit back, saying: "This product is sold by size not age. It is complete rubbish to suggest it is aimed at seven to eight year olds."
