Teacher faces prison for abusing brothers

A TEACHER who took two of his pupils on holidays and trips before sexually abusing them and warning they would never be believed if they told is facing jail.

Caven Muirhead, 56, groomed the boys and befriended their parents, then abused them in caravan parks, woods, and in his bedroom. The primary school teacher targeted the boys, who were brothers, over a seven-year period up to 1996. A jury at Stirling Sheriff Court found Muirhead, of Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, guilty of five charges of using lewd and libidinous practices and behaviour towards the boys.
