Teacher admits 40 years of sex assaults

An ELDERLY music teacher yesterday admitted he assaulted 16 young girls over a period of more than four decades.

Between 1964 and 2007, eminent tutor Michael Crombie abused the children, aged as young as 11 years, while he was working at two schools.

The 75-year-old admitted 49 counts of abuse involving the 16 girls during his plea hearing at the Old Bailey, in London.
