Susan Boyle duets with idol Elaine Paige
WHEN she started on her road to fame, Susan Boyle said her biggest dream was to be as famous as her idol Elaine Paige.
Boyle, whose new album is currently spending its second week at No 1 in the charts, has taken a step closer to achieving this when by finally joined the star on camera for a duet.
Paige, famous for her performances in musicals such as Chess and Evita, is among a host of celebrities who will appear in I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story, an ITV show tracing her rise to fame. During early interviews, the Britain's Got Talent star confessed to having sung along with Paige, alone, in front of her bedroom mirror, equipped with a hairbrush for a microphone.
