Summer washout sinks 426 retailers

The wet summer added to high street woes and triggered a 10.3 per cent rise in retail collapses in the UK between April and June, a report revealed today.

Insolvencies rose to 426 in the second quarter of 2012, up from 386 in the previous year, according to a study by PwC.
