Teen charged after incident

A TEENAGER was arrested and charged for causing a disturbance next to the Assembly’s new home at George Square Gardens.

The 18-year-old was charged with a breach of the peace after he was detained by police at around 8pm on Wednesday.

Officers were called to the scene after there were reports of shouting and swearing beside the venue.

A police spokeswoman said: “An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged following an incident in George Square on Wednesday night.”
