Scout founder papers sold at auction
DOCUMENTS relating to an inquiry into the conduct of Robert Baden-Powell during the execution of an African chief sold at auction for £3,740 yesterday.
The papers suggest that Lord Baden-Powell, who founded the Scout movement in 1907, executed a leader of the 1896 Matabeleland rebellion.
