Rural theft rises to cost farmers £52m
Bad-tempered bulls, noisy geese and even ferocious llamas are among the methods farmers are using to combat rural theft which cost UK agriculture £52.7 million last year.
Agri-crime rose six per cent last year from 2010, figures from the National Farmers Union show. Fuel and quad bikes were commonly targeted items.
