Robert Peston plea for return of rings

BBC business editor Robert Peston has appealed for the return of his late wife’s engagement and wedding rings after they were stolen in a burglary at his home.

Sian Busby, who had lung cancer, died in September.

Peston, who lives in north London, yesterday tweeted: “Burgled last night. My beloved late wife’s 1920s engagement & wedding rings taken. Naive to think they might turn up, but…”

The journalist took a short leave of absence after his wife died, but has since returned to work.

Ms Busby, a novelist, was a schoolfriend of Mr Peston’s
sister.
