Right-to-die campaigner 'not ready' to go
RIGHT-to-die campaigner Debbie Purdy has told how she enjoys life "to the maximum" and is not ready for death.
But the multiple sclerosis sufferer – who last year forced the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to clarify the law on assisted suicide – said she still planned to end her life when her condition became intolerable.
In an interview yesterday, she said of living with her Cuban husband: "We enjoy life to the maximum. We suck the marrow out of life. I am not ready to die."
Ms Purdy, 46, who lives in Bradford, said that when the time came she would travel to the Dignitas assisted suicide clinic in Switzer2land to end her life.
