‘Public should have say in regulation’
Around two-thirds of people believe the public should have a say in the regulation of the media, according to a survey.
The poll, by Carnegie UK Trust and think-tank Demos, showed 71 per cent of the public want an independent regulator put in place, while 63 per cent want to see the public play a role in setting out the guidelines to be used by such a regulator.
