Princes plan 'best birthday gift' for Diana
PRINCE William and Prince Harry pledged today to make the Concert for Diana the "best birthday present" their mother ever had.
The young royals are organising next year's event at Wembley Stadium, as well as a memorial service in memory of their mother who died in a car crash in 1997.
William said the concert - being held on July 1 when Diana would have turned 46 - was planned as a celebration and "to have fun" and would represent "exactly what our mother would have wanted".
In a televised interview released today, he said: "We wanted to have this big concert full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness which I know she would have wanted."
