Priest jailed for child sex offences

A PRIEST has been jailed for five years over a string of sexual offences against a boy.

Father Peter Hooper, 55, from St Luke’s Church in Bebington, Cheshire, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to ten counts of engaging in sexual activity with the boy when he was 14 and 15 and inciting him to engage in such activity. He was appointed priest at St Luke’s in 2006.
