Police appeal to missing man

A MAN who went missing on Christmas Eve has been urged to let his partner know that he is safe and well.

Police believe Colin Morton, 52, went for a walk on the beach at Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, after seeing his GP on Monday morning.

Officers have studied CCTV and know he walked through Whitley Bay Metro station,
using the footbridge, and kept his appointment at the surgery.

He left the surgery in Whitley Road at about 9:13am before going to a bank in the town
centre.

He then called his partner Liz Callighan at 9:50am, but has not made contact since.
