Plea to mother over dead baby
POLICE have appealed for a mother to come forward after the body of a newborn baby was found at a waste recycling centre.
A worker at the plant, in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, made the find at about 7:30am yesterday.
Police, who are treating the death as suspicious, said the recycling plant takes waste from throughout the Midlands. An officer said it was too early to say where the baby was from and whether it was a boy or a girl.
