Pioneering drug for diabetes launched
A NEW once-a-day injection for Type 2 diabetes is being launched in the UK, it was announced yesterday.
The drug, Victoza, stimulates the release of insulin when blood sugar levels become too high. Victoza has been shown to help people lose weight.
