Pay-out for latex allergy nurse
A FORMER trainee nurse who had to give up her job after developing an allergy to latex has won a six-figure compensation pay-out.
Tanya Dodd, 25, worked at Scarborough General Hospital in Yorkshire until she discovered coming into contact with latex could send her into anaphylactic shock. Her union, Unison, said the dangers were well-known and latex-free gloves should have been provided.
