No snack ban for city venue
POPCORN munchers at Edinburgh's Cameo cinema will be able to continue with their favourite snack despite planned popcorn-free screenings at other venues.
Picturehouse Cinemas, the owners of the Cameo, decided to hold trials into popcorn-free screenings after customers said the snack was messy and noisy.
They will test the scheme at some evening screenings in Norwich next month.
But staff at the Cameo Cinema said they were unaware of any moves to ban popcorn, and insisted it was unlikely to happen in the Capital.
