No Christmas cheer for Tories from Cable

NOT one Tory MP has made it on to Business Secretary Vince Cable’s Christmas card list, he revealed yesterday.

Despite the apparent festive snub, the Liberal Democrat insisted he was looking forward to working with his coalition colleagues in the new year.

But that came after the minister suggested he had only ever imagined the possibility of a deal with the Conservatives in his “nightmares”.

In a webchat on Gransnet, an off-shoot of Mumsnet, Mr Cable said: “The best way of dealing with nightmares isn’t to hide under the sheets.”
