Newspaper to contest injunction

THE Mail on Sunday newspaper is to contest an injunction granted against it over a story relating to the Royal Family.

The paper was forced to withdraw an article containing claims by a former Palace servant, after a second former Royal servant brought legal action.

A three-hour hearing at the High Court on Saturday ended with a judge making an order preventing publication. This was followed by a written demand from a senior Royal that there should be no publication of the story, the paper said.

A Mail on Sunday spokesman said: "This case involves issues about which the public have an unquestionable right to know."
