New evidence in Ward case

THE father of a British tourist murdered in Kenya 16 years ago is trying to force a fresh investigation into her death by travelling to East Africa with new evidence.

John Ward, who is in his early 70s and lives near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, said a new witness claimed to have seen his daughter Julie, 28, leaving a game lodge with an armed man dressed in military clothes on the day she vanished. Mr Ward, a retired hotelier, said he hoped to travel to Kenya for discussions with police within a month.
