MPs’ staff concern at expenses quirk

MPs and their staff risk falling out over their expenses because of a “ridiculous” rule which means claims are only paid to parliamentarians, Labour’s Tom Harris has said.

Under rules set up in the wake of the expenses scandal, expenses are paid into MPs’ bank accounts, even if the money was originally claimed by members of their staff.
