MP seeks backing for card debt cap

A CAP on credit card debt should be introduced to help stop people’s borrowing spiralling out of control, a Labour MP has suggested.

Yvonne Fovargue told MPs additional action was needed to help prevent consumers falling into a high-cost credit trap.

Her Credit Card Debt Limit Bill was given an unopposed first reading in the Commons.
