More problems for airline as two jets are grounded

PASSENGERS on a Qantas Airways flight to London were stranded overnight because of damage to a wing, and another was cancelled today after fumes were detected on board.

The problems are the latest to plague the Australian airline in recent months, including a loss of hydraulic fuel that led to an emergency landing, failure of landing gear and detached panels. A flight from London to Melbourne in July was also forced to make an emergency landing in the Philippines.
