Mills-McCartney accused has 132 priors

A PHOTOGRAPHER accused of assaulting Heather Mills-McCartney has 132 offences against his name including forgery and deception, a court heard yesterday.

Jay Kaycappa, 32, was charged with common assault after Sir Paul McCartney's estranged wife, 39, claimed he grabbed her and spun her round in order to take her picture in July last year.

Kaycappa, of Fareham, Hampshire, is also accused of assaulting Ms Mills' friend Mark Payne the following evening.

Prosecutor Dale Sullivan revealed that Kaycappa had appeared in court for a string of offences between 1989 and 2005, including perverting the course of justice, credit card fraud, destroying a will, forgery, theft and various driving offences.

Kaycappa denies two charges of common assault. The trial continues.
