Mental health bill backed by Lords

Measures to end “blatant and disgusting” discrimination against people suffering from mental ill health were yesterday backed by the Lords

Peers gave an unopposed second reading to the Mental Health (Discrimination) Bill. The bill repeals a law which allows MPs and members of devolved institutions to lose their job if sectioned for more than six months.
