Man held on terror charge after Syria kidnap

BRITISH police investigating the kidnapping in Syria last July of two photographers, one a UK national, have arrested a 31-year-old man in London in connection with terrorism offences.

The man, who has not been named, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London today where he will be charged with the preparation of terrorist acts.

The man was originally arrested on 10 January and released without charge six days later. Two other men have previously been charged in connection with the investigation.
