'Lunatic' biker in YouTube stunts gets 12 weeks' jail
A MOTORCYCLIST who posted footage of himself performing dangerous stunts and speeding at up to 130mph on the internet site YouTube was jailed for 12 weeks yesterday.
Sandor Ferenci, 28, was filmed by a friend doing wheelies and skids and racing on the opposite side of the road around Banbury, Oxfordshire, then put the film on the video-sharing website.
He was disqualified from driving for two years and ordered to take an extended driving test before he is allowed on the road again, after pleading guilty at Oxford Crown Court to two counts of dangerous driving.
The judge, Terence Maher, told Ferenci he had carried out "lunatic and grossly irresponsible manoeuvres at considerable speed".
A concerned motorist contacted police after spotting Ferenci on his bike.
When officers called at his home, he asked them: "Is this about the YouTube video?"
Police then discovered he had posted the video clips of himself on the internet.
