London 2012 Olympics: Red arrows display aerial spectacle over Edinburgh
The Red Arrows perform a dramatic 600mph display in the skies above Edinburgh yesterday to mark the start of the Olympic Games.
Thousands watched nine aircraft flying over Holyrood Park, the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle and Festival Square. The team flew over Belfast and Cardiff before heading for the Olympic Stadium just before the opening ceremony.
