Last 3 WWI survivors invited to ceremony

THE surviving veterans of the First World War have been asked to take part in a ceremony to mark the 90th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice.

Kevan Jones, the veterans minister, said it was hoped the three known surviving British veterans would lay a wreath at a service on 11 November, 90 years after the guns fell silent in the trenches.
