Laser eye treatment firms 'play down surgery risks'
HIGH street laser eye surgery clinics play down the risks and pressure customers into more expensive treatments, according to the consumer champion Which?
Clinics including Optical Express, Optimax and Ultralase came under fire for giving unsatisfactory advice and pressuring customers into spending more during initial consultations, undercover researchers found.
A Which? spokeswoman said that more than half the clinics gave unsatisfactory advice.
