Killer is freed for appeal
CONVICTED wife-killer Nat Fraser has been freed from prison pending an appeal.
Fraser was jailed for life in 2003 for murdering his wife Arlene, and told he must serve 25 years. Mrs Fraser disappeared in 1998 after waving her two children off to school in Elgin. Her body has not been found.
Allegations of a "cover-up" during Fraser's trial emerged earlier this year, amid claims key evidence was kept from the jury.
Central to the case against him was the alleged disappearance and reappearance of Mrs Fraser's wedding, engagement and eternity rings from her home around the time she went missing in 1998.
