Kean pays out over Allardyce bar slur

WEST HAM United manager Sam Allardyce has accepted substantial undisclosed damages over a claim he was sacked from his Blackburn Rovers’ job because he was a crook.

Former Blackburn boss Steve Kean made the claim, filmed on camera phone, in a Hong Kong bar on a pre-season tour in 2011, prompting Mr Allardyce to sue for defamation.
