Job hunters offered free bus travel

More than 800,000 unemployed people are to get free bus travel in January to help them find jobs.

Those who have been out of work for between three months and a year will be eligible for the Britain-wide scheme, which has been organised by a coalition of transport bodies.

Seventy per cent of transport routes in Scotland, England and Wales are covered.
