Fresh allegations have emerged against disgraced former BBC presenter Stuart Hall after he was jailed for indecent assault against young girls, police have confirmed.
Lancashire Police said they are working “closely” with the Crown Prosecution Service after receiving the allegations. No further details have been given but Hall is reported to be facing five further allegations including the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl.
“We can confirm that we have received further allegations against Mr Hall and we are working closely with the Crown Prosecution Service to determine the most appropriate course of action,” a Lancashire Police spokesman said. “We take all allegations of sexual abuse seriously and we would encourage people with any information about sexual abuse or who have been a victim of sexual abuse to come forward and report their concerns.”
