A MAN has been jailed after police found text messages on his phone asking not to be disturbed while he committed burglaries.

24-year-old Stuart Gibbs sent the message which read “I’ve told you 20 times, don’t ring when I’m robbing” shortly before he was discovered in a shed, after police had been alerted to suspicious activity in the area.

Gibbs was found to have glass on his gloves that matched a nearby window which had been damaged. At Leicester Crown Court, Gibbs was jailed for 18 months after admitting attempted burglary, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, handling stolen good and possessing cannabis.
