Growers celebrate blueberry boom
The British summer may not have been to everyone’s taste so far, but it is good news for growers in the burgeoning blueberry market.
The fruit is set to boom in 2012 with the yield up 29 per cent to 1,500 tonnes, according to British Summer Fruits, the industry body which represents many of the United Kingdom’s berry growers.
