Green urges end to 'dither'
THE Conservative front-bench MP whose office was raided by police accused the government yesterday of "continuing to dither" over an inquiry into his arrest. Damian Green said the delay in setting up an investigation into the police search of his parliamentary office without a warrant was "disgraceful".
Mr Green was cleared three months ago following his controversial arrest over a series of leaks from the Home Office.
In his farewell speech to the Commons on 17 June, former Speaker Michael Martin promised MPs that an "all-party inquiry of eight senior members" would examine the treatment of Mr Green, the shadow immigration minister.
