Rule The World produced a strong finish to overhaul joint-favorite The Last Samuri and win the Grand National Steeplechase at odds of 33-1.

Ridden by 19-year-old jockey David Mullins, Rule The World was third after jumping the last fence but outpaced The Last Samuri (8-1) on the long run to the post and won by six lengths in soft conditions at Aintree.

Vics Canvas, a 100-1 shot, was third in the world’s toughest steeplechase.
