Gately fortune 'for charity'
THE partner of late Boyzone singer Stephen Gately said yesterday he does not want to receive any of the star's multimillion-pound fortune.
Although he is entitled to a large sum from his partner's estate, Andrew Cowles has instructed lawyers to divide the money between charities and Gately's family.
The couple married in a civil partnership in 2006, and Cowles added that while he will continue to live in the north London home, he intends to sell the Majorcan apartment where the 33-year-old Irish singer died two weeks ago.
He said: "I don't want a penny. I was never with Stephen for his money and don't need it now."
