THE ashes of the late journalist and broadcaster Derek Jameson were scattered on his beloved Fleet Street yesterday during a poignant ceremony attended by dozens of other journalists.

Jameson started working
on Fleet Street – the traditional home of British journalism – as a messenger boy at the age of 14, and went on to edit the Daily Express, the Daily Star and the News of the World.
