‘Fire PC with link to sex case suspect’

A POLICEMAN in “regular contact” with a suspected sex offender should lose his job, the High Court ruled yesterday. Wiltshire PC Paul Woollard also sent sexist e-mails while on duty and abused his position to get a fishing club membership, Mr Justice Wyn Williams heard.

The judge said a police misconduct panel had been right to order the dismissal of Pc Woollard - who worked for Wiltshire Police - and a police appeals tribunal had been wrong to overturn the panel’s decision.
