Fifty Shades outsells Potter

EL JAMES’S Fifty Shades trilogy has outsold JK Rowling’s seven-book Harry Potter series on Amazon’s UK site.

James has sold over four million copies in print and on Kindle since March, making her Amazon.co.uk’s best-selling author since the site started. Rowling’s final Potter book, The Deathly Hallows, is being outsold by James’s first book, Fifty Shades Of Grey, by more than two to one.

Kindle director Gordon Willoughby said: “If Rowling was the literary phenomenon of the last decade, James looks certain to take that mantle in the current one.”
