Female brigadier to leave the Army

THE Army’s most senior female officer is leaving her position – but she denies that her decision is anything to do with reductions in the service’s strength.

Brigadier Nicky Moffat, 49, is taking voluntary redundancy after 26 years, with reports that she had become despondent at the depth and severity of government cuts – a claim she denies.
