Families could lose tax credits

MORE than 200,000 families will lose tax credits worth £3,870 a year unless they increase their working hours, according to figures highlighted by Labour.

Under changes to take effect on 6 April, couples with children will have to work 24 hours a week to qualify, rather than 16 as at present. .
