Elderly abuse hotline launched
A PHONELINE to encourage care-home staff, elderly people and their families to report abuse is to be launched today.
Charity Action on Elder Abuse has teamed up with Southern Cross Healthcare, which runs 735 care homes across the UK, to provide the service. It comes after high-profile cases of older people suffering abuse at the hands of care-home staff.
