Dying rapist release plea under review

A DYING sex offender’s wish to be released on compassionate grounds so he can end his days with his family has been refused by a prison governor and the justice secretary.

Rapist prisoner “J”, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is still considered a risk. A High Court judge was told his case is being kept under review.
