Duo released in fire deaths investigation

A MAN and a woman arrested in connection with a house fire in which six siblings died have been released without charge.

The 34-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were arrested last Thursday and questioned over the deaths of Jade Philpott, ten, and her brothers John, nine; Jack, eight; Jesse, six; Jayden, five; and Duwayne, 13.

Derbyshire Police said the duo were released on bail to return to a police station yesterday and have since been released without charge.

The children died at their home in Derby on 11 May.
