December date for Irish murder report

A GOVERNMENT-ORDERED review into the loyalist murder of Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane will be published on 12 December.

QC Sir Desmond de Silva re-examined the evidence into the 1989 north Belfast killing.

The murder of the Catholic father-of-three was one of the most controversial of the Troubles, with allegations that the state colluded with the para-militaries to facilitate the killing.
