Charities merge to aid the blind

TWO charities have joined forces to launch a news and information service for blind and partially sighted people.

Infosound began a weekly service yesterday funded by The British Wireless for the Blind Fund (BWBF).

Subjects covered include: finance, leisure, mobility, products, health, employment, training, services, travel, hobbies and support.

Margaret Grainger, BWBF's chief executive, said: "We are delighted to be associated with such a high quality broadcast service."
